Each team from the state can nominate five athletes by sending in tryout videos that are judged.
The top 20 scores are chosen for the All-State team. This is a huge honor, competing with the best cheerleaders from more than 30 high schools in Connecticut.
Aguiar has been a part of the NHS Cheerleading program for the past 4 years. She made the All-American team this summer at NCA camp and has had an amazing season.
Aguiar was a member of the team last year that won Norwalk’s first FCIAC title in the high schools history.
Aguiar is an amazing athlete and leader on Norwalk's cheerleading squad and a perfect representation of an all-around great athlete, her coaches said.
It marks Norwalk High School's first All-State cheerleading award.
